The pupils of All Saints Primary School were so inspired by their visit in 2016 to see the famous Maldon Embroidery they created their own version of it that is now proudly displayed in the Maeldune Heritage Centre. They designed beautifully stitched panels, alive with vibrant colours, telling the story of The Battle of Maldon in 991 in vivid detail.

The photos below are the embroideries and the pupils who presented them to the Centre. The panels were a fitting tribute to the Maldon Embroidery to celebrate its 25th Birthday!

2021 is the 30th Anniversary of the making of the Maldon Embroidery. Please visit see our events page and sign up to our newsletter to find out more.
